Hallelujah. They've fixed the labeling/USB port orientation.
But 40W won't charge everything at full speed if you have five iPads plugged in. Each one requires 12W.
Anker has proven support and a good warranty, which is as good of a reason to choose them over other brands.

If you have five iPads you need to charge concurrently, I suspect can afford to purchase a second 40 W charger.

Doesn't have to be five iPads. iPhone 6/6+ will also draw 2 amps at full charge.
Not unusual to find a couple phones, and a couple tablets in a household.
It is up to the user if that matters, but the fact is, the math doesn't add up if one expects five fully-capable ports.

It doesn't have to, at least not the way your adding or defining "fully-capable".
The IQ tech they're touting probably ferries the charging between ports to where it's needed most to provide the fastest charging. The idea is probably to keep the source current draw as low as possible.
Fast Charging Technology: PowerIQ and VoltageBoost combine to provide the fastest possible charge up to 2.4 amps per port or 8 amps overall (Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 not supported. For QC2.0 charging, please see Anker's 18W USB Wall Charger).
Ultra Powerful: Five ports pump out 40 watts of power, enabling simultaneous multi-device charging. Rated DOE Level 6 for energy efficiency.
There's no reason to expect 2A or more from all five ports at the same time. A 10A/50W charger would give that kind of performance, but there's a price to pay.
But I agree- if somebody is in the habit of charging a combo of 5 dead 6/6+ phones and iPads at the same time, they need to look elsewhere.
I bought the previous version of this charger (now discontinued) but have no idea how this has been improved. I used it to charge several devices, but usually no more than one iPad and one 5s, as far as iDevices go.
