do I get a LEADER???
#1
I drove 20 miles each way just to go to a recycling site that took my Mercury thermostat for proper disposal. I just couldn't dump in the trash and feel guilty for adding even more pollution to our little green planet. We make enough mess as it is.

Now do I get a LEADER?

Well...technically, a LEADER! is reserved for Apple related purchases, I believe. However, you certainly deserve some kudos for that, so how about a HIGH FIVE!

Congrats. but no leader. He did not make money on this transaction.

even if you got a new computer, you can't :"ask" for a leader. You can hint, or make oblique refferences to desiring one, but that is as far as it goes.

Sorry to be the negative one here but you say you did the 20 mile trip 'just to go to a recycling site that took my Mercury thermostat for proper disposal'. Well done for thinking about the proper disposal but what vehicle did you use and what fuel consumption does it do? Would it have been better to wait until you were going that way for more than that single reason?

If you went by bicycle or even walked then please accept my complete and utter apology.

Point well taken penguin, but I had to choose between keeping that mercury around (I have a small kid and I was worried) or wasting a gallon of gasoline... as far as I know mercury is more dangerous than gasoline. OK, at some point there is a trade off, i.e. you can't justify burning a large amount of gasoline for a tiny amount of Mercury, I agree, but in this case I spend less than 1 gallon of gas.

Sure I would have biked if I could, but weather didn't allow it, it was raining.
