Just heard a quote on the radio from a conversation between him and his wife- she was asking where he wanted to be buried and he said I dunno, surprise me!

What a great guy. When I was hospitalized for months on end as a kid, he was my only baseball hero; he cheered me up like no other.

Excellent obit.

Makes me regret that my kids did not grow up with baseball, and baseball legends, the way so many of us did. As a fan of the lackluster Washington Senators, I used to hate the Yankees, who even when losing would rally in the 9th inning to beat us. But Yogi was endearing to everyone.

What a great character. He always made me laugh.

R.I.P. Yogi.

That was a brilliant obit. A long life, well lived, and he brought joy to millions.

Yogi. Man, I miss him! And the other Yankees of that era. The future ain't what it used to be.

It occurred to me today that pretty much everybody loved Yogi. Even if you hate the Yankees, even if you aren't a baseball fan at all, you probably loved Yogi.

Says a lot about the man. What a well-lived life.
