Just heard a quote on the radio from a conversation between him and his wife- she was asking where he wanted to be buried and he said I dunno, surprise me!
RIP Yogi Berra

What a great guy. When I was hospitalized for months on end as a kid, he was my only baseball hero; he cheered me up like no other.

The fat lady has sung.
Rest in peace Yogi; you were truly a class act.

As a fan of the lackluster Washington Senators, I used to hate the Yankees, who even when losing would rally in the 9th inning to beat us. But Yogi was endearing to everyone. /Mr Lynn

Yogi. Man, I miss him! And the other Yankees of that era. The future ain't what it used to be.

It occurred to me today that pretty much everybody loved Yogi. Even if you hate the Yankees, even if you aren't a baseball fan at all, you probably loved Yogi.
Says a lot about the man. What a well-lived life. |
