eBay buyer issue / claiming not received
#1
subject says it all, I'll try to keep this short -

I've been selling some (IMHO) pricey cameras and lenses recently. I specify no non-US shipping and when I see a non-US bidder (generally with no feedback) I give them the boot.

$600 Hasselblad lens was purchased by a Chinese buyer with a US shipping address, as well as 100+ positive feedback, seemed legit. I followed the eBay shipping instructions to the T per usual. USPS tracking number, insurance, signature, etc, etc. Of course, it was signed by someone (or some entity?) that looks nothing like a signature on the delivery slip.

They filed a claim that it was not received. Fantastic, here we go.

I've submitted everything to Paypal, tracking info, provided shipping address, delivery confirmation, etc. At this point, who's responsibility will this fall on - will Paypal release funds to me OR am I going to get to play chase the insurance?

Does tracking indicate delivery to the actual address? If so, then you are in good shape (assuming that you followed ebay/paypal buyer protection guidelines).

It says delivered, and signed for. USPS only says 'delivered'.

On the delivery form it was a hand-printed signature that sounds more like a company name. (?)
