Stupid stupid move. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when he explains this gaffe to Hillary.

I agree it's bad optics. But if Bill wanted a "secret" conversation with Lynch wouldn't it be easier just to call her cell phone?

I think Bill's attitude might be, "I'm an ex-President of the United States and I can talk to whoever the hell I want to."

Yes. But that doesn't make it less stupid or obtuse a move. He should know better.

This meeting sure doesn't look like happenstance. I had breakfast at the local coffee shop with three lawyer friends (2 liberals ans 1 conservative). All three agree Lynch Has compromised herself and should recuse herself from any dealings on the Clinton matter.

Do you think this was on purpose? so she would HAVE to recuse herself???

No, she can recuse herself at will for no reason.

Meh.

Cheney used to take Scalia on free hunting trips while the administration had cases before the SCOTUS.

'Course, Scalia and co were the ones that stopped the Florida recount in progress, so Cheney had some payin back to do, y'know?

So, because of Cheney and Scalia, we just shouldn't expect all that much from others?

They crossed paths at an airport and chatted for half an hour. I would assume they know each other - Clinton appointed Lynch as the US attorney for the Eastern District of NY, and was later a prominent attorney in New York during Hil's Senate days. I would guess Lynch is probably well removed from the FBI investigation of Clinton's crime of having private email.

I'm just saying that in any rational analysis, these kind of things pale in comparison to what the Republicans think is okey-dokey. But then, IOKIYAR.

Absolutely not. It's hard not to point out the tremendous hypocrisy.
