Challenge Questions

I always choose favorite pet because I know I'll remember it. But I really don't like it because all of my pets have been my favorite. I feel guilty picking one over the other. I apologize to the spirits of Kiddy, Tiny, Kelly, Baby, Bruiser and Dodger Dog. So everyone have at it.

I've given up on challenge questions... they now all get the same answer.

(seriously, I had one want the name of my best friend in third grade. I'm in my 50's, I don't even remember being in third grade!

I always say the best friend that has not been my best friend in forever.

I remember my 3rd Grade teacher. Took away my house key (kept on a chain around my neck). When I couldn't get in the house my parents ... weren't happy with the teacher. (I have an older sister; it's not as if I was home alone.) I feared her and thought she invaded my privacy.

And then that summer, 4 HOURS AWAY FROM HOME at my grandparents', she appears at their front door. I ran all the way through the house, out back and into the barn. My mom had to come get me. WHAT WERE THE ODDS THE WITCH WOULD COME AFTER ME?"

The real story is more boring than that, my grandfather built houses in a small subdivision he built. And somehow she found it and was interested in buying. Luckily she did not, and my childhood was not ruined.

So THANKS for reminding me of such a traumatic period in my life.

I can't understand why people feel compelled to be honest when answering challenge questions. Just make your favorite pet Astro and your best friend Harvey the Pooka, and so forth.

I remember I told my 3rd grade teacher I wanted to quit school at the end of the year. She asked what I would do for a job and I said, "Teach 2nd grade."
