....$49 @ Apple refurb store [ 50% off regular price ]......they were out of stock for a while......

....since they are getting out of the router business.....you may want to get an extra one if you plan to use them.....

I have a pair of older Extremes. Would there be any benefit in replacing one or both of them with these?
I do not have a hard drive attached to either of them.

....not sure but the Express allow for use of AirPlay to speakers [ don't think you can do that with Extreme ]....and cheap way to make a non wireless printer.....wireless [ though you can do it with Extreme too if you already have one ].....

the Express are N, while the latest Extreme are AC (I guess they also support N, and older G and B standards). I am tempted to pick up an Express for Airplay, on the other hand, if I upgrade my network to AC at some point, will this Express N cause slowdowns to a new AC router? Also does it work with non-Apple base stations?

Mine did not get to me in two days. FedEx sent it 150 miles in the wrong direction and now says there is no estimated delivery date. Ugh.

Got my Express today. It appears to be brand new, but is in plain white packaging. Works perfectly. Very pleased. Everything seems snappy!
