Success--Great deal on 2015 MBP 15--$1399. Perfect!

The refurb MBP arrived yesterday; I opened it today, and it's pristine in the original white Apple refurb box, with one battery cycle, and it's eligible for AppleCare!

Here's the link--no guarantees, but it worked perfectly for me.

Can you upgrade SSD in these machines?

Space,

Yups. I believe OWC has a solution for it. Not cheap, though. A 1TB replacement SSD is $699 or so.

It's not a 2.5" SSD, it's a flash based pcie format drive -- capable of 2000 MB/s -- 4x the speed of a 2.5" SSD.

For comparison, here are Geekbench scores for this machine vs a mid-2012 15" (non-retina) 2.3GHz quad-core:

2015 2.2: 3723
2012 2.3: 3200

Actually it's $599. Still a lot of bucks.

Davester,

$699 last time I checked. At least I remember it being $699. Broke the $700 mark if you wanted the bundle with the enclosure for the original OEM SSD. Smile
