I will buy a 1tb SSD as soon as a deal pops up.

I think you will be waiting a long long time. There have been several posts in the last few weeks (2 yesterday) about no deals on SSDs.

At this point in time, $240 is sort of a deal. You might hold out and save another $20, but think of all the *time* you would save not waiting and working more efficiently?

You'll get a great boost in speed with the SSD in a Mac Pro bay, but it will be capped at SATA II speeds.. Put it on a PCIe card to get full SATA III speeds.

Ask yourself if you really need a 1TB SSD. I can't believe you've made it this long without a SSD. Heck, I have a spare 256GB one that I can send you to try out.

I just ordered some SSDs for work and they were more now than they were last year. Prices must be going up.

I had been working project by project so sorting wasn't a priority.

I am now trying to get everything in order including reducing duplicates on the same disk.

Last but not least, you know me, I blew all my money on lenses.

Memory prices in general are drifting upwards, and SSD's are built from memory chips.
