Would you contribute to upgrade the forum for a better mobile experience?

What you all don't seem to realize is, if this forum takes money or work, it's not going to be done unless it is a minor update. What you see is what you get.

It is what it is. And that's part of the charm.

First we need a list of people who are willing to help out / have skills to contribute.

Second, MRF-Admin needs to be involved in the planning. There are some aspects of how the forum runs that would be useful to know (how is new code launched? how is the site hosted? etc).

Third, we need a wish list. Seems simple enough from where i stand - emoji support and better usability for mobile devices.

Fourth, break down the wish list items into tiny to-do items. Likely managed in trello or something similar.

Really, all it takes is one person to step up but without MRF-Admin involvement this isn't going anywhere.

Works just dandy on my iPad 3!

+1.

A lot of sites with versions that purport to be better for mobile... aren't.

What some of us are getting at is that we would do the work. Yes, it would still take some minor work on OWC's part, but with a decent setup it should be a very minor amount.

I'll help. HTML & CSS. I could probably do everything it takes to make this mobile friendly, I just need access to the code. I've worked with phorum before. I have a paid git hub account we could put it in.

It's fine like it is for me. I use it, and post on my iPhone often. About 90% is with my iPad. I will not use a separate App like so many forums want me to do. Browser is good for all the forums I'm on. It ain't broke...

Oh, last summer, a forum I've been on for over 10 years, made a big change. They lost me and many other members when they made a totally unnecessary change.

Whatever needs to be done everyone involved should have nine face to face meetings, 100s of emails, multiple conference calls and should end when no one knows what the other parties are doing.

Have fun!
