See you all in 10 days, I'm going on vacation to Egypt

Tomorrow night we fly out of Logan to Cairo, a nice looooong flight, at least it is overnight, so it will be easier to sleep. We will amongst other things spend time in Cairo, Luxor, and a Nile River cruise on the Emilio Prestige. 5 Star hotel will the Le Meridien Prestige Hotel, with a room window facing the pyramids.
We will do everything we can fit into our 24 hour days, as heck, you can sleep at home. We will go go go, including a sunrise hot air ballon ride over the pyramids, and a camel ride. And yes, I will squeeze this 225 lb frame into every pyramid nook and cranny we are allowed into.

Getting home Friday Feb 24th, just in time to collapse and sleep through my Birthday.
I would post pics, but my tech savvy does not include getting pics on this forum.
Assuming I can get back into this country, after all, I have Polish and Russian roots, and my FIL would be checked extra hard at borders, as he had a very Italian name, and kind of looks like he could be mob boss. And that was back in the 80's!

I want to get our group of 13 to do some choreography of that, as we are all relatives, or friends of relatives. My SIL is the tour coordinator.
I have a feeling, we would be the only 13 in Egypt doing this though, just like Hawaiian's don't put pineapple on pizza.

For some reason, when I saw that title I really thought this was going to be one of those thread titles that has no meaning with the post. Vacation to Egypt just seems a bit strange to me these days... unfortunately. Have a great time Dave!:useless:

Word is, very safe, prices extremely low, as many people are shying away, and tourism is down 90%.
When my SIL went there on vacation last year, she made friends with a tour guide, and then researched prices, attractions etc., found she could organize better and cheaper than the trip she went on. She hired that tour guide, now is in business for herself doing Egypt tours.
