Back-Up Question?
#1
Maybe this has been discussed before but on one of my Mac's, I have a 240 GB SSD used for only the OS and Apps. I back that drive up every few weeks using CCC to a standard external drive partition of 250 GB.

My last back up was 2 weeks ago and what's strange is the back-up has about 10 GB's less than the SSD. Would the reason have something to do with the difference between SSD's and standard HD's?

TIA

One thing that I can think of is that it doesn't backup the "sleepimage" file that is used to save RAM contents during sleep.

How much RAM do you have?

sleepimage
VM swapfile(s)

Both are located in /var/vm/

For instance, I have sleepimage disabled on my Mini but I have a small vm file in there.
