Convoluted, yes, but all that gets you what's reputed to be a very nice amp at a ridiculous price--there's nothing remotely close for a new tube amp of any design--plus some cables, adapters, earbuds, whatever that you probably wanted anyway, all for about $94.

Do you think there's any way a 10" speaker could fit in there? I expected it to be ugly, but it's really nice looking. kj.

I don't think there's room for a 10". Weber makes a variety of 8s, though. I'd give the stock speaker a fair chance, though. The 8 in my Mustang I is pretty decent after I got it broken in.

Probably not, but thought I'd see if anyone knows for sure. I was thinking of using it for a bass practice amp and throwing one of the many 10" bass speakers I have into it. Probably not a good idea, but it's kind of a cool ;-) kj.

I doubt it, but I've seen a lot of indications that replacing the stock speaker with a Jensen C8R is a nice combination.
Personally, I plan to use this amp as a DIY testbed. You literally can't buy the component parts as cheaply as this amp is selling for right now.

I just rechecked the ad. One of the extra pictures shows it having an ext. speaker jack. Having a bigger speaker in a decent sized cabinet would sound better, any way.

No, it wouldn't. Guitar amps are fundamentally different from high fidelity amplifiers, in that the instrument versions are intentionally built to change the character of the signal, usually by distorting it.
That said, Monoprice does have a line of stereo hybrid tube amps (tube preamp, solid state amp stage) that are very cheap and sound quite good for their prices...
