Seems like Apple already makes a "product" which would solve the problem, and fit with the company image . . .
And it's not as if Apple hasn't used this theme before . . .

So the days of the "glass ceiling" in the workplace are apparently behind us....replaced with the "glass wall!"

This isn't uncommon. I remember replacing glass panels several times next to doors when I worked building maintenance at a manufacturing complex. Every factory had offices attached and there were lots of glass doors and windows in them. Some people would inadvertently walk into the window adjacent to the glass door, sometimes with enough force to actually break the glass.
This was well before smart phones and texting were ubiquitous. I think people are just careless when it happens.

local service station uses masking tape in the shape of a big "X"
after one of their customers walked through one of the glass walls enclosing the office.

A story I read says that this has to do with distracted walking while staring at an electronic device. Maybe people shouldn't walk in a distracted manner.
Distracted by thinking about new ways to hide useful features. Like doors.

Kind of a curious article. No pics, no quotes and no specific incidents. Just a vague conclusion that people keep "smacking into the glass" and that sticking Post It Notes on the glass is a no-no.
I'll give Time the benefit of the doubt, and I don't doubt that no one wants to go on record, but my knee-jerk observation is what the hell kind of article is that?
