Tired of all the bad news articles? Here's a fun little story about having fun on the road to Sacramento
#1
This silly little story popped up in my Google news, "Weirdest Stops on the Way to Sacramento" subtitle, "How to enjoy jelly beans, historical reenactments, and a murder house—all in 80 miles"

https://thebolditalic.com/weirdest-stops...041763b84d

What fun! It's starts with the/a story about the birthplace of the Martini and the plaque that proclaims the exact spot where it was invented.

More to see on the way to Sacramento? A John Muir home/museum, Jelly bean factory, a stop at the Dorotea Puente murder house and lastly - the best snow cone on the planet...

“All the stores on the street — including Osaka-Ya itself — have signs posted that say ‘No Snow Cones Inside’…which is really odd unless you know someone is selling snow cones nearby”

If you wanna cute, fun read (and it doesn't matter if you are a resident or know nothing at all about Sacramento) give it a go...

”But cheaper rents and higher temperatures aren’t the only things you’ll find in Sactown.”

Pro tip, only one of those two things is still true.

(Hint: The highs have reached over 100° in recent weeks, and 1 bedrooms in (barely) b-list areas are pushing $1,100 mo.)

I walked by that murder house one day after I heard it was close to where I was living at the time (I actually walked by it several times without knowing it's history). Been to the Jelly Belly factory. I had a car repaired at a place three blocks from the Martini plaque, never knew the plaque was there.

I might have taken mini iLeader to Osaka-Ya, if I had known about it at the time.
