ah, that is pretty. I heard one of the luxury cars similar to Jaguar name were losing their cashe because they were doing SUVs. I think that is right. I would not want to pay $$$ for a snobby car brand and see an SUV going down the hiway.

Weak!
Lux makers dive into making US marketed SUVs. Ugly boxes.
I would have thought that one Lincoln Instigator would have been enough.
But no, I see every make of SUV in the burbs of NY.

I've always thought Mercedes made ugly SUVs, and the the only people who bought them gave no thought to the look of the vehicle, but just to the cachet they believed it had.

As long as it was a Mercedes.

The car looks similar to the 1961 - 1972 Volvo P1800/1800

An SUV is a sports car that is also roomy/practical, in theory has good visibility, panache and did I say (in many cases) performance ?
No one wants a minivan any more because why sit in a barely drivable box when there are SUVs ?
Unless of course you need a box.

There were links between the two design studios.

Sweet Maserati, a model from back when they truly were "The Car of Kings". I love the blue with red interior, too.

Every word of which can be said about station wagons with station wagons having the extra added benefit of a low center of gravity. Seriously, watch a few of the dash cam car crash videos on YouTube, especially the Russian ones. SUVs, the Lexus and Kia ones in particular, roll over waaaaay too easily in relatively minor accidents for my taste.

I'm not a huge fan of minivans, but after getting upgraded to a Nissan Quest rental a few years ago on vacation I've gotta say they have come a long way in the last few years and the driving experience wasn't at all unpleasant plus there was no giant console between the front seats.
