GONE: Qty 55 Betacam SP and Digital Betacam tapes
#1
From the same auction as the external drives below, I got a bunch of Betacam SP and Digital Betacam tapes. All but one of the tapes comes in a hard plastic case. I have no use for them, as I don't have a Betacam deck. Below are the lengths of the tapes and the quantity of each length. I'd like to get $10 for the whole lot (plus shipping). My guess is shipping will be around $25. So even with shipping, that's less than a buck a tape. They are all used, and came from the company that made the videos for "As Seen on TV". If you're interested, I'll calculate exact shipping. Prefer payment by check, but will accept Paypal.

5 minutes - 6
6 minutes - 15
12 minutes - 1
30 minutes - 12 (one with no case)
32 minutes - 16
40 minutes - 3
60 minutes - 2. The 60 minute tapes are a different size than the others. They're approximately twice the size.

I have no idea. Maybe if someone is making commercials for TV? All I know is that it came in one of the boxes of the lot I bid on. If nobody here or craigslist wants them, I'll try contacting a person I used to know who worked at a TV station and see if they want them.

i had a similar load of tapes that i had bought years ago when that stock was current and i had the cameras that used those tapes.

i was hoping there would be some use for them.

unfortunately, i couldn't find that use.

i had to dump the whole thing.

strangely, i found it hurt.

good luck with your load.

thumbs up.

Donate to local community college or university? Film/Media school (or similar) might be able to make use of them.

only folks who have archival video footage are likely to be interested. I dealt with a similar (but much larger) cache of Beta tapes a few years back from years of production at our agency, and ended up sending to the landfill, I think.
