Official "Adobe Photoshop CS3 broke my open PSD document" thread
#1
PS CS3 is a good app IMO, but it's definitely beta for a reason.

One crash (two?) so far that taught me a lesson.

One instance where a background document was active, and I couldn't get the program to let me work on the foremost window.

Type Tool seems occasionally supper-sluggish.

BTW: I realize there is a forum for reporting bugs in CS3 Beta... it's just difficult to describe the exact circumstances surrounding a crash. Feels like a crash is a crash.

Not sure if it's flakey enough to default back to CS2 for professional uses--or whether the existence of both versions might make flakiness more likely.

Regardless, LOVE the CS3.

I had a nasty crash after forgetting the "beta" status. I won't make that mistake again.

Overall its very stable for a beta, a few bugs make it hard to use full-time, though.

The RAW converter is fantastic, the interface a little too Windoze-ey for me.

Lots of hidden gems, more than a few disappointments.

The Adobe engineers keep saying they held back some key features from the beta, I hope this pans out in the final release.

I really wanted the dark-grey interface like the new Bridge has, the garish light-grey GUI gets in the way. Word from the engineers is "maybe next upgrade" Bah.

So far I'm mixed. I always benefit from the improvements almost instantly, but wonder if the Adobe machine is really in touch with it's core users.

The new Bridge is most excellent.
