I went down to the local Safeway, yesterday...

...and found out that on the day before, Alameda Co., requires a mask to be worn if one is around people outside their family unit.

I found this out as I was about to enter Safeway.

The Security guard asked me if I hand a mask and when I replied no, it was 'Sorry, I can't let you in the Store.'

I was going to wear a mask so as to blend in but forgot until I was out the door and down the road a bit.

So I went back an got one, and everything was Jake.

But, its three layer filtration made breathing a bit difficult and I felt like my O2 was down and mu CO2 was up.

I may have to workout the Voldyne 5000.

Good on ya, Rammie.

Just wondering, does your County or other local government post stuff like that online? Around here, the only local "news" we get is from FaceBook, and that includes what passes for newsprint publishers.

The county website mentions the requirement at the bottom of the first page: http://www.acphd.org

But I found out from the security guard and then a quick DuckDuck.

I never thought to check our county website:

Alameda County Public Health Dept: http://www.acphd.org

The one online source I first DD'ed had only three comments, and they were of the 'the Govt. fear-mongering must stop!' variety.

I have to look for it again, as the article author spelled masks oddly.

Not sure if it was a typo, none native English speaker, or somebody who can't spell, and no copy editor to rescue them.

From what I've seen reading articles on the internet the last few years, the job of "Copy Editor" has gone the way of "Corset Tightener" and "Spat Fastener". I freely admit my own grasp of English grammar is far from perfect so when I find so many glaring errors of grammar and especially spelling in an article that it is almost unreadable and the opinion of said article's author is rendered invalid due to their gross inability to express their ideas in any coherent manner you KNOW it's bad.
