Help please: Finder File 'Get Info' Window, is there a terminal hack...

I've tried several key combinations, none have any effect.

No way as far as I know but you can widen the whole Info window: Just put the cursor near either window edge and drag when it changes to a horizontal arrow.

Thanks AA, yeah I knew about the horizontal. You can also hit the Maximize Button
(top left corner) to widen the entire window.

Conclusion, another hard coded spec the engineers don't want users to screw with!

pressing Command, Option, then 8 (all must be down at the same time) will give you a little boost but it enlarges the entire screen.

Not necessarily. That's the Keyboard Shortcut under the Accessibility Prefs to
Toggle Zoom* of the Desktop. If it's not enabled it will not work.
* 'Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom'
