Why not just get her her own iPad. $249 brand new, done. =)

iPPs are still too rich for me. Id like to replace my wifes 10.5" with a slightly faster version -- but its so perfect as is I hate to replace it

I did last year. I'd like a new one for me as well, but I'd rather spend 1.5x or more for a Mac!
