They are idiots who wanted 15 minutes of fame and received it.

"Hey, Look at me - I have a nazi mask and no one can tell who I am." Not all that different from wearing a KKK hood - the wearers identity is hidden.

Trump t-shirt on the guy.

That small city is in Colin Peterson’s district (a Democrat who voted against Trump’s impeachment) and is just north of Steve King’s district in Iowa. (I’ve shopped in that store.)

How's Colin feeling about that vote these days?

Colin is likely to lose even with anti-Trump sentiment because his district is the most rural in the state and farmers are hurting, even though, or especially since, he is the chair of the House Ag Committee. He barely won last time. He used to represent my district as my city is on the edge of districts. Later we were proudly represented by Michelle Bachman.

How do you stand it? Coming home I mean.

I might just elect to stay south of the border or with my heritage north of the border. As a youngster I thought Nova Scotia was incredibly backward and boring - I might settle for welcome that today,

Do people like that have the faintest idea what that emblem stands for? I wish there was some way to let them experience what people went thru under that emblem.

Many conservatives do not understand how satire works, and as with here, how it does not. It literally requires a level of sophistication not everyone can claim.

If they want to protest like this, they’ll enjoy the results have having to explain how they aren’t advocating for the symbol they are advertising.

I’ve shopped at that store and have had students visit that town when we were on a research lab near there.

We teach all but especially our women and non-white students to be extra respectful of the locals. They may not have seen an international student in their entire life. So even whites with an accent will be looked askance.

Minnesota is an amazing patch quilt of culture. The blue collar white parts of the state have lost power the last 40 years. We are going to be a solid blue for Biden, but there are terrible Trumpers too. I live in Congreddiinsl District 1, not quite as bad as Bachman but maybe worse because i think he is more competent in driving his agenda. He refuses to talk to or acknowledge a citizen who is not a white Christian, for example.
