Castle Set for Streaming Debut on Hulu

....The mystery of when all eight seasons of Castle can be streamed has been solved

The romantic dramedy, which originally aired on ABC from March 2009 to May 2016, will make its U.S. subscription streaming premiere on Hulu, on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

“Hulu is thrilled to be bringing Castle to the service for the beloved series’ U.S. streaming premiere,” Brian Henderson, Hulu SVP of SVOD Content Programming & Partnerships, said in a statement. “It’s a great addition to our vast TV library and we can’t wait for subscribers to relive all eight seasons… or discover the series for the first time.”

Created by Andrew W. Marlowe, Castle starred Firefly‘s Nathan Fillion as the titular Richard Castle, a mystery novelist who in the pilot was recruited by the NYPD to help solve a murder committed in a way identical to one of his fictional characters. Upon meeting Detective Kate Beckett (played by Stana Katic) and determined to use her as a muse for the hero of his next novel series, Nikki Heat, Castle pulls strings with his friend the mayor to “shadow” Kate.

The series’ cast over the years also included Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever as detectives Javi Esposito and Kevin Ryan; Susan Sullivan and Molly Quinn as Castle’s mother, Martha, and daughter, Alexis; Tamala Jones as M.E. Dr. Lanie Parish; Ruben Santiago-Hudson and then Penny Johnson Jerald as 12th precinct captains Roy Montgomery and Victoria Gates; and Toks Olagundoye as MI6 operative-turned-security specialist Hayley Shipton.......

if you want to watch.......it all over...........?!

Literally the FIRST episode of Castle I saw was the one where he was in his Mal Reynolds "costume"... When his daughter asks "what are you supposed to be?", he naturally replies "Space Cowboy!"...
Then she says the line that had me laughing so hard I damn near blew a blood vessel... "It's been 7 years, don't you think you need to get over it?".

Nathan Fillion, and the writers and producers of Castle are my heroes...

I'm a huge Castle fan.

I've been binging on the entire show for the last few days, starting with Season 1, am now at Season 7.

There are a lot of 'inside baseball', outside the show references and they always crack me up.

The writers wrote books 'by Richard Castle', the Derick Storm and Nikki Heat series.

It took me awhile to get used to the names, but when they speak, I hear Beckett and Castle.

And I do like watching Stana Katic as Beckett.

She did a great job.

Once I read Katic and Tamala Jones weren't being brought back for Season 9, I was sure there'd be no Season 9.

The REALLY amazing part is how good the show was, and how good the chemistry was between Fillion and Katic, when they absolutely could not STAND each other. Hated each other. But, they kept working together.
I suspect that that friction was the cause of her not returning.

Their onscreen chemistry was indeed amazing.

I wasn't aware that it didn't hold once the the taping stopped, until it was revealed she wouldn't be returning.

Apparently, she'd leave the set as soon as a scene was done, and didn't appear at any show functions.

Filliion's boiler plate 'good luck on future endeavors' was the first hint I saw.

And I blame Biden Fillion.

I think he thought as highly of himself as Castle did of himself.

But I don't think about any of that when I watch the shows.

Eight years is a good run, and under the circumstances, a ninth might have been one of those 'they should have quit while they were up' seasons.

Anyway, Castle really holds up for me.

One of the best scenes in the whole series. "Capt. Tightpants"
