Idiocracy is now official policy in Georgia
#1
Georgia just passed a bill doing away with Daylight Savings Time. Okay, whatever but here is the rationale given by one lawmaker for the new law --

Rep. Wes Cantrell told WSB-TV that the bill would result in less criminal activity and crashes on the road. "Criminals like the cloak of darkness, so they have one less hour in the evening to commit their crimes," Cantrell said.

In that case, they should have just passed a law against darkness.

Actually what they decided was to STAY on DST permanently. In Feb the GA senate had decided to stay permanently OFF DST.

Either way they don’t know what they want or why, and GA’s new law won’t go into effect unless Congress says the nation will go to DST permanently.

It’s like the rationale for having DST in the first place, you’ll get an extra hour of daylight. :RollingEyesSmiley5:

True, but things may be changing for the better.
