West Virginia is practically bribing its youngest adults to get their COVID-19 vaccine.

Residents between 16 and 35 years old will receive a $100 savings bond after their shot, Gov. Jim Justice announced Monday, calling on people to sign up as soon as possible “if we want to really move this needle.”

“They’re not taking the vaccines as fast as we’d like them to take them,” Johnson said at a press conference.

Seems no one needs incentivization (coined word) around here, we'd (collectively) pay out of pocket to get jabbed.

Interesting. I'll take $100 for getting my shot. This isn't really new though, health insurance plans/employers have been incentivising things for years. We get $1400 into an HRA if everyone on the plan gets their yearly physical.

I really don’t recall anyone’s stated objections including they wished someone would bribe them. Vaccination is either an obvious plus or the voices in your head have cast doubts than a hunner isn’t going to cure.

We're talking about a demographic that in our day could be bribed to open a credit card for a 2-liter Coke.

Maybe they can pass the bond out as you drive through the vaccination queue.
