Apparently (I didn't know much about him before tonight) he distinguishes America not being a racist country from the fact that there is racism here that has to be dealt with. https://www.yahoo.com/now/sen-tim-scott-...38470.html ... the problem with this line of thinking ... it seemingly denies the existence of systemic racism, which is a rather shocking statement, coming from someone who has experienced what he claims he has.
