Given that those springs seem to be made of unobtainium I would have pulled a second one while I was at the salvage yard.

One of these days I'll get in over my head, but not so far. This was probably one of the hardest jobs both in diagnosing and repairing I've had to do.

This one still gives me nightmares though. So many bolts, nuts, and parts...absolutely no room to work, and everything needed oddball specialized tools. Was spewing oil from the crank seal. I already had an entire layer of parts off the front of the car just to get to this point to where you could get to start working on the engine. Had to do a crank pully seal which required the removal of everything including the timing belt.
