Free test kits, when can second order be placed?
#1
It would have been extremely helpful if an actual date was given for when people can order the second batch of test kits. But instead all that's used is some vague imprecise language that's relative to when the notice was actually written and no date is shown on the notice.

Here's what https://www.covidtests.gov/ said yesterday.

Starting next week, every home in the U.S. will be able to order an additional set of 4 tests.

Here's what it says today.

Starting this week, every home in the U.S. will be able to order an additional set of 4 tests.

Here's what it says when you try to order.

Please check back next week to place your second order.

Our records show that the address you entered has already requested one order of free at-home tests.

Here's what the "order troubleshooting page" says https://faq.usps.com/s/article/At-Home-C...leshooting

Starting next week, U.S. households will be able to place a second order for free, at-home COVID-19 rapid tests (4 tests per order); for a total of 2 orders containing 4 tests each. If an order was previously placed for your address, you can place a second order beginning next week.

Why couldn't they just state a DATE that you can start placing second orders instead of trying to figure out what conflicting usage of "next week" and "this week" mean.

I’m going to try Monday morning.

makes sense since the first round of orders people only ordered about 1/2 the kits. Seems pretty much only needed for international travel.

It worked for me. It took literally less than a minute.

I was just able to order mine this morning too. I guess "Weeks" start on MONDAY instead of Sunday.

I was about to post the same thing - pretty remarkable for a US Gov't scheme. Last time they arrived damn quickly.

There's only one little quirk with the website that they could fix to make it even easier.

When you get to the section for the shipping address they have a check-box to use the first/last name entered above for the form below. If you click on the check-box itself it doesn't do anything, you need to click on the text next to the check-box for the box to get checked and the fields filled in. At least that's how it behaves with my ancient version of FireFox.
