An enlightening (to me) interview re: gun violence
#1
I watched this streaming live yesterday and made a note to post it here for anyone who might be interested. I'd go so far as to say we all should be interested. It's an interview with John Rosenthal, the co-founder of Stop Handgun Violence, though his appearance yesterday was driven by the shootings in Maine.

Yes, I don't think it's a stretch to say that the source is considered to be left-leaning. Irrespective of that, the facts Rosenthal relayed had me almost shaking my head in disbelief. And yes, one probably wouldn't have to look too far (right) to find someone who would attempt to dispute every one of the facts.

As with most everything on this side of the forum, I understand that it's highly unlikely that anyone's mind or opinion will be changed as a result of watching this, but I found it a riveting, if disturbing, conversation.

His segment runs from about 1:30 - 1:55.

No one cares about handgun violence.

11 people shot last night in Chicago, not news worthy. black on black, hand guns = wrong agenda

You really don't read, do you. Much of the discussion was related to assault weapons and mass shootings.

...though his appearance yesterday was driven by the shootings in Maine.
