Suspect in Maine shooting rampage found dead in woods
#1
Breaking news - no details yet on how he died.

Robert Card, 40, was found dead in the woods near Lisbon, the same sources said. This follows a two-day manhunt that prompted shelter-in-place-orders and the shutdown of schools and businesses as law enforcement furiously pursued him after Wednesday’s attack at a bowling alley and a restaurant – the deadliest US mass shooting since last year’s massacre at a school in Uvalde, Texas.

I heard they found a note he had left on family property and moved to looking for his body on the assumption he was deceased.

It's far deeper. A certain set of special interests hijacked the NRA and other gunner groups, who THEN got the SCOTUS they wanted.

I honestly know of no gun rights folk in MN who like the change in gun laws the last 30 years.

Maine is a state with an out-sized hunting establishment, an establishment that drives a good portion of the state economy. This whole mantra that someone is coming for your guns DID NOT originate from nor was it promulgated by these folks.

It was a pure fabrication of the US armament industry and was sold to hunters under the falsest of premises - that was someone is going to steal their livelihood. That they unfortunately bought the argument shows the power of propaganda disguised as advertising.

Once that sort of lie is embedded, it's almost impossible to extract.

If anyone decides to go out and murder a group of innocent people, always confirm your firearm is working optimally but testing it on your own head first.
