Real life story this morning: getting a tire fixed

I have a relatively new car (10,000 miles) that picked up a nail. Low leak in the tire.

Went into the dealership to get it checked/fixed, took about an hour from pulling in to pulling out. Pulled in 8:15AM on a Monday.

An amazing team took care of me, and I was back at work by 9:30AM.

Why am I writing this? Because in my newsfeed, the local KXAN reported that at a DIFFERENT dealer in town, at the same time, incendiary devices were found.

I know folk do not agree with each other, but setting up 'incendiary devices' is NOT the way.

Now is the time to BUILD - network, connect, make noise, set up your own non-profit, or for-profit to address current problems. Build FOR things.

I am in the Scott Galloway, Ezra Klein piece of the Dem pie. Scott G, one of the greatest naysayers of Tesla on the planet, is about ENDING destruction. We lose the moral high ground.

More great data on your views, which I respect even if I do not agree.

The concept of 'suicidal empathy' is tied to some of the same ideology around the 'woke mind virus' etc. This topic is also complex and many accomplished people have been advocating for that view well before Elmo left the left. Again, I respect those that have such views while not having to agree with them.

I suspect the news bubble you live in has not exposed you to this topic, and thus the Elmo noise field is how you were exposed. Again, that is not a criticism - you are free to live and curate your life - but please note that the site you linked to was largely clickbait. A short snippet designed to enrage rather than inform.

The link was to a Yahoo site, that clicked to a Snopes snippet. The language and context was entirely incomplete, even if the literal quote had appropriate attribution.

I do NOT agree with Gad Saad. Or Musk in this instance.

But taking that one short exchange DOES miss the idea they want to communicate.

I can understand what people are trying to say without agreeing to WHAT they are saying.

But I WILL criticize when something is clearly being taken out of context, even if it's Snopes. Or MRF.
