Yes, Tesla is afraid, that's why they're deploying robotaxi before 100% solving autonomous driving.

Yes, Tesla is afraid, that's why they're deploying robotaxi before 100% solving autonomous driving.
and as soon as they runover a few pestrians or crash into a schoolbus, the gig is up. Insurance will make it unprofitable, lawsuits will eat up the rest, and government agencies will shut it down. That isn't to say that human drivers are any better, but perceptions are hard to ignore.

The shine is coming off Musk. Tesla is showing struggles, Starship is still blowing up, Starlink is still a fringe ISP, his other companies are not doing anything. Tie in his personality and politics and I see the house of cards collapsing.

The rub is, if you were a long time investor in Tesla, you're investment has been moving sideways for the past 4 years, where the market as a whole gained 30-40%.

If you've been an ultra long haul investor (like me and some others around here) then you've been rewarded handsomely.

The thing is now, unless they solve for artificial visual cortex, you're not going to gain anything more on your investment. Musk has done too much damage. Tesla could have been like Apple, but they squandered the opportunity and at best are a one trick pony now. I hope for my former fellow investors, y'all prove me wrong. But for now, I think there are greener pastures elsewhere.

If robotaxis do become viable then the entire auto industry will collapse. It will be cheaper to hail a cab than to drive yourself anywhere.
