Siri on my HomePod mini keeps responding to the TV
#1
Mostly commercials. I think it's the Farxiga commercial.

I don't recall ever hearing anything that sounds like "Hey, Siri."

Edit: it's from "Serious side effects include..."

Damn drug commercials.

Does the HomePod now respond to Siri, and not just Hey Siri?

If so, it's not surprising that it would happen now, when it didn't before.

At any rate my HomePod's Siri sometimes responds to my Mac though my 'Phone and Watch do not.

Sheesh. Now our appliances are conversing, probably hatching plots against us.

It has begun.

You can change the trigger phrase to only "Hey, Siri!" for that HomePod in the Home app.

I guess I'll have to stop using "SIri" as my safe word.

Damn drug commercials.

I hope that they ban all prescription medication commercials.

Yeah, our original soccer-ball sized HomePod not infrequently responds to something we didn’t ask it (that it overheard, or thought it heard, from us or the TV).

^ this! Drug ads must be near ~50% of the ads on the national evening news.

Can you imagine how much money drug companies spend on commercials for products the consumer can’t directly buy? I wonder why non-generic prescription drugs are so expensive…

Farxiga commercial. Every freaking time. There was a new update and I hoped installing it would fix it, but no. I had to switch it to listen only for "Hey, Siri."
