I couldn't get my original account to work
#1
I suspect that my 4 digit password was rejected - no set up in the world allows that anymore...

so this is my new account, but I'd like to get connected to the old one if possible

just got back from camping - gotta shower...

My experience was that usernames were ported over but passwords were not, so in order to login for the first time, you needed to go through the "forgot password" process using your old username.   Hopefully you had a good email address associated with your account in the old forum, that's used for the password reset process.

That results in an email that has a link that you need to click on to validate your account.

Then you will get a second email that has a newly generated password that you can use to login.

Before doing any of this, in your browser delete cookies associated with macresource.com, otherwise you might wind up in a limbo state when you do log in.

Once you successfully log in you can change your password to whatever you want (like whatever password you used on the old forum).

Hope this helps.

See if an admin can change the email address.

We'll see if there's a workaround that pops up soon, after all the work done to get this far… but maybe there'll be a way to resuscitate "old" accounts that don't have a current email attached to them.

I changed PW, says im "in" but... nada. stuck here:

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be because of one of the following reasons:
  1. Your account has either been suspended or you have been banned from accessing this resource.
  2. You do not have permission to access this page. Are you trying to access administrative pages or a resource that you shouldn't be? Check in the forum rules that you are allowed to perform this action.
  3. Your account may still be awaiting activation or moderation. (Resend Activation Code)
  4. You have accessed this page directly rather than using appropriate forms or link.

Even tried a different browser. =(
