New Mac mini M4 has arrived!
#1
One of my daughters has been working at Apple retail for the last three years while she was in her grad school program.  She graduated in May and started her new job last week so she will be leaving Apple next week.  So I decided to take advantage one more time of her Apple discounts and upgraded our M1 Mac mini to the M4 version.  It is amazing how much power they can fit in such a small footprint.

I did the aftermarket upgrade to a 2TB drive from the original 256GB SSD using this one - https://expandmacmini.com/product-category/ssd/?gQT=2

The upgrade was not hard and took about 20 minutes.  The price was much more reasonable than the $800 that Apple charges.

Any warranty issues?

The process is completely reversible and doesn't void the warranty.

Mini Upgrade Leader!

And please keep us updated. I’ve always wondered about the long-term reliability of those upgrades. Thanks!
You're not pizza - you can't please everyone.

Nice. did the same for the wife, M1 16/256 to a M4 16/256. Prices are just too hard to pass up. M4 was $449, think I can get $350 for the M1... $100 net to upgrade. =)

Got my youngest a 15" MBA, 16/256 for $1050, starlight.... prices are awesome right now.
