Happened across this new flavor at a local H.E.B. supermarket. It's rich chocolate ice cream with a fudge swirl and a hint of cinammon.
It's not even on Haagen Dazs' website yet.
I can confirm, though, that it is yummy.

Announced last year in the holiday newsletter, I just can't figure why they call it "Mayan Chocolate", it has sugar, milk, and no chili! I guess it's "Vanilla Village" concept of Mayan chocolate. You gabacho's have some crazy ideas about native foods!

The name "Mayan Chocolate" is in reference to Mexican hot chocolate, which includes cinnamon and sugar as ingredients and is made with boiled milk instead of water.
A coffee house local to me has Mexican Mayan Mocha on the menu
http://www.sworkcoffee.com/menu/page-02.htm:
Mexican Mayan Mocha
Gourmet Mexican cocoa and vanilla, espresso, steamed milk and foam with whip cream and nutmeg.
Good stuff -- highly recommended.
