I realize I have not had meat for two months and figure I might as well keep it up. I am worried about protein though. Any suggestions. Canned beans?
Good cheap vegetarian protein source?

Beans and nuts come to mind...
The occasional peanut butter sandwich will do you good... and not just for the protein.

My brother is a vegetarian and he eats a lot of beans with rice.
He also likes to cook with this on occasion: http://www.yvesveggie.com/products_detai...duct_id=12&page=1&pIdName=Ground%20Round

I know it's not veggie but canned tuna? I do not plan to go crazy on avoiding meat.

I have not eaten meat since I saw the lamb or goat with six legs on TV. That'd be a couple of days, now.
I ain't no vegematarian, that's for sure, but between Chernobylized livestock and the threat of bird flu, I just can't stomach it for a while. ![]()

Eat lots of bugs.
Rotate your essential amino acid sources, tofu, rice, beans, corn, legumes, nuts, peas, whole grains, beef. These are two good pages on it. http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/adapaper.htm http://www.foodsforlife.org.uk/nutrition...ition.html
