'Spring Cleaning' for Windows, is it useful?
#1
A question for those here who are ambidextreious, so to speak.

Spring Cleaning' for Windows: My daughter asked about using this program on her PC. Any opinions here?

I told her to first use the Windows Accessories 'Disk Cleanup' and 'Disk Defragmenter'. Would those two be good enough?

Thanks.

If Spring CLeaning is like Abbott System'S (I think that was the name) you can get rid of a bunch of duplicates unlike the "disk cleanup and Disk frag which are for the HD and letting the computer delete unneeded files...but Spring Cleaning you need to monitor all the time or you can dump things you want.

Plus, I find WIN asking "this file may be used by another program, are you sure you want to delete it?" and I never know what to do so just keep it....

I'd say dads advise was safer...just Defrag or let the computer dump the temp files and such....
