Yes, once with OD & then with another different rebate processor. The both have websites for status inquires.

OD CANNOT prove they didn't lose it, so the burden is on them. They won't risk bad PR or a Consumer Protection Complaint for a measly rebate.

Unfortunate stories like this are why I will not touch a rebate. Office Depot is happy right now, just they way they planned.
Whatever marketing genius who dreamed up rebates belongs in the same cell with who ever invented spam. Actually spam is annoying but does not take your money.

My brother-in-law has access to a mail unit at work. He dialed the date back a few days and post-marked it. He got the rebate.

I've dealt with 2 bad rebates by going directly to the stores. Both times, the manager gave me the money (cash at Walgreens; gift card at Office Depot).
I'd take it to Office Depot, tell the manager what occurred and ask for the rebate amount in a gift card. I had done the same thing as you at Walgreens and had no problem getting the cash; I think it was $30 for 3 phones.

wowzer, I did the same thing years ago when I worked in an office and had access to a mail machine. Unfortunately, no mail machine nowadays.

My remarks were not at all nasty. That you chose to receive them that way speaks volumes about you.

Which was the ENTIRE POINT. Read what you wrote: "not responsible for LATE or LOST claims..." You asked about "gee, what about sending it in late, think it'll work?" and rejected as "too risky" the idea of claiming it was LOST.
Two equally bad plans, which by the above you admit, yet you hang onto one as somehow being not as bad and immediately reject the other one?
