Well, after stabbing their fans in the face, the back and every other part of their bodies, Metallica's fan base has largely abandoned them. They've gotta find some way to make money.

So....what does that mean for fans who already own the CDs...they are a bunch of sellouts. Newsted was the only one in the current lineup that had any musical integrity (maybe Kurt). Their new stuff sucks anyway.

Jason and Curt are actually really nice people, I can't say the same for the other two.

BTW, Newsted hasn't been in the "current" lineup for over 5 years.

I know Newsted hasnt been in the band for 5 years, but he was a major part of them....he was the one that was driven by the music, and still is. Its funny when I read interviews where Lars hates the And Justice for All album and most of the earlier stuff. Money went to their heads.
