Not necessarily. Stereotypes are often products of prejudice rather than reality. Seeing how such teams compare in actual competition might very well serve to break such stereotypes.

It would be MORE interesting to pick 10 people at random, drop them on an island with a pocket knife, 10 feet of rope, a tin cup, and 10 matches.... then come back in 3 months and see who's left.

None of this "voting people off the island" crap...

This season will be fantastic! My predictions:

1) The Asian team will complain about having to eat so much rice, but then they'll create a sure-fire mathematical model for winning the game. Unfortunately they will lose their glasses and be unable to implement that plan. Desperate to regain their honor, they will initiate a cowardly early-morning sneak-attack on the other camps. The attack will ultimately fail and the Asians will commit ritual suicide...an on-camera coup for CBS!

2) The blacks will start strong, but will sadly end up killing each other after a few of them "dis" each other. The black tribe will soon fragment into "east coast" islanders vs. "west coast" islanders. (Watch for various caps being popped in certain extremities.) They'll demand free food and subsidised tents from the CBS staffers, then complain that it took too long to get the free supplies. They'll blame the whites for the bad weather.

3) The Mexican team will work for the white team...cooking, laundry, straightening out the sand. Strangely, they won't lose ANY weight while on the island. Their low-riding canoe will sink. They will force a merge by simply swimming into the white's camp and setting up new homes there.

4) The white team will waste precious time debating gay marriage and politics. Inability to choose a leader will cause the tribe to lose the first few challenges. They'll complain about how slowly the Mexicans are cleaning their camp. They'll cry a lot about how much they miss their (children/gay lover/mommy/dog). They'll talk about their feelings, then adopt one of the Asian team members.

Then they'll win, because they are the only ones who vote.

There could be a totally nude team, I still wouldn't watch it.

That would depend a little on the gender makeup of the team...
But one episode a few years ago was MORE than enough to convince me I wasn't interested in the show.
