Hours of freezing rain...

Turning into a skating rink here in North Central Iowa.

So far the winds haven't picked up otherwise we would be snapping power lines.

It's a good day to sit in front of the computer and get some work done.

I guess winter has begun.

Love cold. Don't mind rain. Hate cold rain. I think I might stay in bed this weekend . . .

Yeah, it's heading to Chicago but now they are saying that it will be more rain than ice in the city but the 'burbs will get ice.

Guess this is a good weekend to be sick with a cold- absolutely no reason to go out other than to walk the dog. In a rare turn of events, I even have food in the house so I am in prime "bunker down" mode.

Western Iowa also got nailed with the freezing rain and sleet. I'm very thankful we haven't had strong winds. A warm home on a day like this is priceless.

Rain yesterday and last night, but lovely today. Outside thermometer shows 64º here by the ocean in Dana Point, but it feels warmer in the sun. It will be 10 to 20ºs warmer inland.

What's not to like?
