OK, so they dropped the instant reward program, I understand that. They hid your old bookmarks, and you gotta go snag a file somewhere to get 'em back, I understand that. They dropped their maps and yellow pages, I understand that. They re-jiggered the user interface, I understand that. Last Friday was a big day at A9 w/ all of the ch,ch,ch,changes..., so wtf happened to our search history and, and history of the sites visited from those searches??? After the instant reward, that was my personal favorite feature of the A9 system. Anyone know where in the vapors to look to possibly retrieve that data in usable form? Thanks,

yeah. ..noticed that. . .I don't like the new look and didn't know about the end of the a9 rewards.
When does it end because the discount logo is still there when I go to amazon?

I did still see the A9 discount on my amazon shopping cart today, and it was still showing the discount. I wonder how much longer that will last.

yeah. . .I'm guessing the A9 will fade in a few days, like when you signed up for it. ..took a few days to appear. . .

September 29th, 2006 — A New Look and Focus for the A9.com Website
We redesigned the A9.com website to make it easier and quicker to discover information from more sources. The left hand column of the page has some groups of search sources that you can select from. Within each group, you can choose to display or hide specific search columns. You can quickly switch among groups, and you can also quickly add additional groups that we have built. You can also add any OpenSearch™ search source to any group, and move sources among groups by dragging and dropping them.
To make it easier to navigate your results, we have introduced a new continuous scrolling feature, so you no longer have to bother with next and previous buttons to move from one page of results to the next. You can now also drag-and-drop the columns to change their order on the page.
We have discontinued the A9 Instant Reward program, and the A9 Toolbar and personalized services such as history, bookmarks, and diary. To get help uninstalling your A9 Toolbar, visit toolbar.a9.com. We have also discontinued A9 Maps and the A9 Yellow Pages (including BlockView™).
Access to Bookmarks and Diary: If you had any bookmarks or diary entries, we have saved them in files for you that you can access in the Product Extras section of your Amazon Media Library. To download the file, click download in the right-hand column (if you don't see download, select list view). There are up to three files located: one with both bookmarks and diary entries in a searchable, printable form; one with bookmarks in a format easy to import to other browsers; and one with diary entries in a text/xml format.

The discount was still in effect yesterday despite the announcement of it having ended (dated several days ago).
Bummer.
It's been a passable but not great search resource worth visiting for the discount. The one re-jiggering I recall them doing (adopting M$oft tech I think) made the service much worse. This will be the end of it.
1.57% ain't much, I just liked the way it always seemed to move my purchase from $30.xx to 29.xx.
