I'm suffering from post-"Firefly" depression
#1
I saw "Serenity" a couple of months back and liked it so I finally picked up "Firefly" last week. I watched them all then watched most of them again with one of my kids AND watched "Serenity" again. Now I'm royally bummed out. It was such a fun series and it's a shame to think there won't be any more since I don't think the movie did well enough for any network to pick it up again.

I've even hit some of the "Firefly" websites but most of those seem to be winding down too. Guess we'll never know whether Book was a reformed Operative or something even more sinister. And whether Mal and Inara will finally hook up between her "companion" bookings. Or will River finally shake her psychosis or turn even more dangerous. Or will Jayne reveal he's actually . . . well . . . less stupid or something.

Oh well, it was a fun, if short, ride. Guess it beats a long, slow decline in quality.

At least you have the verse on DVD. I liked it, too, but then again I like most of what Joss Whedon puts out.

Like a favorite girl who's just dumped you, you will get over it.

It will be hard. It will be tough. You will feel disillusioned. You will feel abandoned and lost.

But you will perservere. You will pull through.

I just think Morena Baccarin is incredibly gorgeous. I can't let go.

...please Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're our only hope!

I had read that when they signed on to do Serenity, that the studio also had the option for 2 more movies. Alan Tudyk said so in an interview.

I love the scenes filmed at "Pick Your Part" in Sun Valley California, shot at shoulder level to hide the power lines and mountains in the background.
From that moment I knew the show was gonna stink on ice!

Y'all are all DAMN STRAIGHT!

I felt exactly like this after watching the series a year or so ago:

Believe it or not, still haven't watched Serenity. This way, for me, the show is not over. (^_^)

Yup--excellent show... never watched the resurrection of Battlestar Galactica, but I have to assume it's on par (cinematically) with Godfather II.

Thanks for the links, Carnos. Reading over them, it looked like almost everyone felt the way we do except for one doofus who got hung up on where it was filmed instead of whether it was a good story or not. Smile
