I'd like to see a more scientific article about that. What does he mean by "simply not there"? I mean it would be a giant submerged volcano creating massive amounts of steam...

"... the mantle is exposed to seawater, creating a rock called serpentinite. The survey voyage, costing $1m (£510,000), will be led by marine geophysicist Professor Roger Searle, from Durham University."

I had no idea the dollar was down to 2:1 against the pound!!!
