So far I'm unimpressed with VoicePulse

1. Their web site has a really short period in which you have to fill in all the details. So while I was determining which modem I wanted, the system timed out and I had to start over.

2. When entering your address for the 911 verification, it ALWAYS gives you an error the first time you submit it. You can submit the data a second time and its fine.

3. Their form validation is funky. It tells me adding "Ltd." to the end of my company name is invalid. Um, no, it's not.

4. At the final stage you can pick shipping options. When I select "choose shipping options..." the page reloads to an error page and the ENTIRE process has to be repeated. I wanted to expedite shipping but learned after the second time the error was not a one-time occurrence.

5. Once everything has been submitted, you don't even get a confirmation email. At least not until the whole thing is processed and shipped (which hasn't happened yet.)

If their customer service is as bad as their web site, I'll be canceling very quickly.

I didn't have any of those problems.

It's possible that their web site has issues with Safari. Try the process in Firefox (cancel out at the end) to see if it works that way.

Plus, their website has that ABOVE HEAD photo! yuck.

I just walked someone through the process of signing up with VP last week an had none of the problems you experienced.

The process went smoothly without any errors. A confirmation email was sent right after the order was submitted and then another was sent when the adapter was shipped.

I am wondering if the first problem you had (the timeout) had on-going repercussions in the ordering process. For example, let's say there is a bug in their system that gets triggered when an order times out; some invalid data gets left in your session. This data then causes the rest of the errors you saw. I've come across this same type of error while reviewing a number of websites.

I would suggest you call them to verify that your order went through - (732) 339-5100.

They are a very helpful lot.

I just tried the form again in FF 2.

1. Didn't wait for it, so I'm not sure on this one.

2. Same issue occurred as in Safari

3. Same issue occurred as in Safari

4. Same issue occurred as in Safari

5. I didn't submit the final form so I'm not sure on this one.

So three out of three errors I tested were not because I used Safari.

very odd. i must say, the one time i did have to call customer service, they were extremely responsive. even called me back a few days later to make sure everything was still okay. the forum at dslbroadbandreports often state how spot on VoicePulse CS is. sorry you're having probs.

packet 8, 199/year residential, and (unlike sunrocket), your friend can call you from their PCs using SofTalk.

My wife called them. They have the order, not sure why I didn't get the email. It's due to be shipped tomorrow.

They are also aware of the bugs in the cart.
