Best place to get deal on retail Windows *XP* Home Edition upgrade?
#1
Anyone come across particularly good prices on XP Home upgrade now that all they seem to be pushing is VISTA in the big box stores?

Have win95 and 98 and plan to use it with parallels, or slipstream to use with BootCamp.

Thanks!

Thanks Clay.

Looking around it seems Amazon.com has it for the same price but with Free shipping.

Guess there is still demand for XP, and thus no bargains to be had yet :}

Wonder why that is?

I got one from OfficeMax last fall for $15 after $15 coupon and $70 MIR.

There were several XP deals then.

Haven't looked recently - but there never was a fire sale on the other OS versions as they got old.

I think I got a copy a year or so back at bestbuy that was $119 with a free $50 Bestbuy gift card, but your deal sounds even better.

This is one of those things I'd nver "stock up" on when cheap... but then I guess when you ned it, you need it. Cheers!
