Got my signatures!

My committee signed off! The paperwork now moves through my program chair and department chair, then onto the grad school Wednesday. I have a few minor changes for the paper portion, but that will be quick and easy. The best part is that the department is going to use my project as a model for future projects! What a relief.

They say that after getting married and having children, the next best day of a life is turning in a thesis. With getting married this past May, doing the Creative Project this school year and buying a house in May; it's been a whirlwind 11 months.

For me, turning in my thesis was like finally having an abscessed tooth ripped out of my jaw...I was just glad the pain was over.

It sounds like your experience was much more positive. Congratulations on your huge accomplishment! Dave

[quote jdc]so whens the baby due? No babies for at least four years, just lots of practicing! Smile

[quote mattkime]what are you going to do with yourself without that project to work on? Well, a week or two break and a chance to catch up on chores. Then finish up my graduate assistantship and concentrate on packing for moving. But tomorrow, the wife and I are celebrating by going to a Cubs game!

If you need that much practice in order to make a baby maybe you should just stay in school for another four years and read a few more books on the subject!

haha! No, that was advice from an uncle the day of the wedding. He has three girls and suggested just PRACTICING to have kids for a while instead of HAVING them. Smile
