Wild weather on the east coast!
#1
Here in NC today we've had Sunshine, Thunderstorms, Hail, High Winds, Tornadoes, 2" of
rain, Snow in the mountains with blizzard conditions and our temp here has dropped over
30 degrees in 2 hours. They say it's blasting the Northeast overnight. I'm north of Charlotte
and we're suppose to have wind gust over 40mph tonight and with saturated ground, it could be
trouble.

Here in Atlanta we had those winds today - after yesterday's rain quite a few big oaks fell in the neighborhood.

I haven't seen wind and rain like this since Hurricane Bob (I'm from coastal RI, but now in Durham, CT).

Supposedly had 50-60MPH winds yesterday and last night.
Been a long time since we had wind beating rain against the South and East facing windows at the same time.
Wind was like a roar. Had to keep checking if it was the furnace running, or the wind.

One roof leak, dripping in on top of the dryer. Appropos, I suppose.

Yesterday in NYC we had the second highest rainfall recorded for a single day: seven and an half inches. The record rainfall occurred in 1882.

Unfortunately I had to spend way to much time outside yesterday.
